Stop and Smell the Roses
Located in the middle of a state protected nature preserve, the Reserve at Fair Hill prides itself with maintaining an environmentally friendly landscape for indigenous plants and to sustain wildlife native to the Olney area. We have made significant investments, since our founding, into street-lined trees, perennial and annual flowers, shrubbery, and turf. Partnering with the best arborists, horticulturalists, and maintenance technicians, the HOA is committed to responding to pest infestation, ailing plantation, dangers presented by hornets and wasps, clean-up response following Acts of God, and replacing erosion and other soil deficiencies. We also believe that hardscape is extremely important, and have made recent major improvements to the community's stone monuments and their lettering. We have installed park benches, pavers and flower beds at Ashbourne Circle, and sought innovative solutions for repainting and maintenance of the community's 5,000 linear-foot paddock fence.
Safe and Sound
Safety and security is a top priority at the Reserve at Fair Hill. Weekly inspections for new hazards ensure we identify, in real time, anything that may result in a serious casualty. Sidewalk and other walking surface tripping hazards are remediated immediately. The HOA made significant time commitments and monetary investments in speed calming infrastructure. We strictly enforce speed limits of 15 MPH on interior private streets and 25 MPH on county roads running through the community. Night time lighting to more energy-efficient LED technology is another important recent project completed. We regularly send out security alerts and encourage residents to be vigilant to report suspicoius activity, including loitering. Additional efforts for community education on resident safety also include social events to demonstrate on topics of self-defense and home fire prevention. The Reserve at Fair Hill has significant relationships with local law enforcement and fire response.
